THE GOOD
New tools, such as real-time color correction and video-signal analysis; precise editing features; enhanced Media Manager for files; fast previews and clean video output; includes Bias Peak DV audio-editing software.

THE BAD
Expensive; available for only the Macintosh; has just 13 real-time effects and one real-time filter; steep learning curve; number of simultaneous effects are limited by the Mac CPU.

THE BOTTOM LINE
Final Cut Pro 3.0 is the best choice for Mac owners who edit video that ranges from short commercials to feature-length documentaries. However, its high price and steep learning curve make Final Cut too much for beginners to handle.
