The sound quality on this little mp3 player is amazing. It was very easy to transfer all of my music from my pc into the Zen Micro. The software included also makes it easy to organize. The FM tuner is a nice feature and, when combined with the Belkin TuneCast II Mobile FM Transmitter, you can use the Zen in the car. I don't trust the belt clip when exercising, it feels bit flimsy. It fits easily in pockets, but I would like to find an armband for it. My husband hates the touch pad, he cannot get used to it. It took me a day or so, but after changing the sensitivity to low, I have no problems navigating thru the menus. If patience isn't one of your virtues, definately try it before you buy it. A volume dial would have been nice, but buy a set of headphones with inline volume and it's a none issue. Locking the touch pad keeps you Excellent value, lots of great features. -

I bought it last week after conducting an in depth market research and tested thoroughly during this week but did not have the opportunity to test its recording capabilities.
At first I was stunned by the mysterious operation of its touchpad but fortunately altering the settings plus the latest firmware I downloaded from Creative website solved quickly my problems.
The sound is brilliant and the fm radio good enough but there are three minor problems:
1)the belt clip is unreliable (it has slipped from it three times already),
2) sometimes the headphones'jack can loose up a bit for no particular reason and then I was hearing my music only from the right channel-happily, once I found out the cause of the problem I could solve it easily by pushing firmly the jack into the Zen micro again)!
3)even slight movements can pause the music for a while so it isnot recommended for jogging- truthfully enough even the Zen micro's manual acknowledges that.
Overall, apart from these minor problems I am very satisfied by it thus far and I certainly recommend its purchase.
After conducting a thorough investigation I believe that at least on paper is the best
MP3 player you can buy for its money
if you are not interested in watching photos (the current version of Zen micro does not offer this capability) -

In my opinion i find that the creative zen has alot of what im looking for, Amazing sound, amazing battery life, and amazing looks. The one thing i do not like about this is the navigation. Even though i would not chose the Ipod nano over the Creative zen, Apple went all out with the click wheel.
Now some pros and cons about the Nano. Even with its amazing size, navigation and color, they tend to break extremely easy. I want something that will last. I do not believe i can rely on the Nano.
In the end it's a tough call. for look and size wise, Nano, for the stuff that really matters Creative zen. -

I bought this product from Creative's website last month and within 3 uses the headphone jack and power switch stopped working. I dealt with their tech support, which was good although not an 800# and only m-f daytime hours, and they sent me a new one quickly enough. The new one lasted about 2 weeks before the USB port stopped working so I just sent it all back. My sister-in-law has one, loved it, until it froze and deleted all of her music (that happened a few times to my second player). She'd had it 4-5 months, so it is in for repair and has been for about 3 weeks. I've heard some have good luck with this, but as far as I am concerned, I won't be buying Creative portables again. -
