It even works with rechargable Ni-Mh batteries.

This is the best 512mb mp3 player on the market. I was thinking about getting a shuffle(mainly cause I was slowly pulled in to the 'iPod clan') but the shuffle is a pure rip off. The creative micro muvo is a small player that has great sound. Even though the screen may be small, it shows only what needs to be shown(the song title and the battery life) It is great having dedicated volume up and down buttons, because then if you are somewhere in the menu navigating, you can turn the volume down, while on other players you would have to scroll back down to the song(example: ipod) The FM radio is great, Voice recording is good, and the case and workout band make this player great. It is perfect for running or working out at the gym. Despite what other people say, the headphones are great. They are stylish and have good sound. Although many people like the direct usb plug in style mp3 players, I prefer the ones with a cable. Imagine if your desktop only had the usb on the back(that sure would be hard to get back to to plug it in) This player is also very light. Only 1.8 ounces with a AAA battery. The battery life is up to 15 hours, which is great. There have been some complaints that you can't use rechargeable batteries. This ISN'T true. You can use Ni-Mh in the creative Micro Muvo which I would definitely recommend. If you are deciding between this and the Sandisk player, go for this one. The Sandisk looks small when you are browsing the Internet, but when I went to Best Buy and saw it in real life, IT WAS HUGE. It is probably 50% bigger than the creative, and it has an akward shape. This player is the best on the market.

The real player is smaller than it looks on the picture, and it is very light. FM function is good. And you can fast forward/backward during playback, and even resume from where you stop if you shut it down. Sound quality is good, with maximum sound volumn loud enough for me to enjoy music on the bus.

The jacket in the package is very useful to protect the player without compromising its beautiful outlook. Armband is OK, too.

The buzzing sound when backlight is on is a little annoying, but not intorlerable (esp. when you set a minimum time for the backlight auto-off). Battery life is around 15hr, but it is reasonable considering the AAA battery. The earbud shipped with the player is mediocre.

One extra comment: it supports many languages in LCD display, including Chinese, Korean and many others. It saves a lot of trouble of tagging.

Creative technical support admitted it had not been tested with Ni-MH rechargeables, only alkaline. Using a good quality, brand new Ni-MH battery it was only playing MP3s for 20 minutes.

So I have just ordered an iRiver iFP-899 which can take rechargeables...
