    4.0/5
I've had this little orange gem for about three weeks now, so I felt a review was in order.

The micro was quite easy to set up out of the box, and get music onto. The Creative software looks a little dated, and isn't completely intuitive, but it does the job. After experimenting with the space-saving tiny file feature, I decided the sound quality was horrible, and settled on something in the middle.

Good sound quality, ease of use, and tons of features have made it a joy to listen to. Even using one of those old cassette radio adapters in my car makes any trip go by faster. Little extras like the FM tuner are nice. My fiance' loves her iPod mini, but still borrows my micro when she goes to the gym because of the FM feature, and is angry with Apple for their stubborn refusal to add a radio of any kind to their products (she works in radio).

The only downsides I've experienced so far is how relatively quickly the AAA battery is sucked dry, and the shuffle feature, which works very well when listening for extended periods of time, but when the player is shut off in the middle of a playlist, it remembers exactly where you left off. That would be fine, if the shuffle feature didn't then cycle back through all of the songs you already listened to before moving on to new ones. Ah well. A small price to pay for a very nice piece of technology.

I owned this device for a little over a year and did not use it all that much. It completely died yesterday. It never took a huge stumble and my sister-in-law had the same one and it also died within a year of purchase.
