Regardless of the color, I have the silver one, this shuffle is great at what it does, which is play music. Even though you dont have a screen, if you sync up with itunes you can pick which songs or playlists you want. for me, I have 1 playlist with current songs that I sync the shuffle too. this way, I know what songs are already on the player so i just hit play and let it go. You can clip it to my belt or shirt.
Con: not really a con but an annoyance, you have to use the supported usb dock to sync the shuffle to itunes. No big deal, but I have more usb connector cables from my ipod/ipod nano than i do with the shuffle. So if I am at another computer, i have to take the dock with me. No big deal. I have learned to live with it.
All in all, it is a very nice product. Plus I dont have to worry about getting a protecting case since there is no screen to scratch up. -

So This is my second iPod. I had a bad expirience with my nano and I figured hey the Shuffle is dead simple and nothing could go wrong with it. Plus I got it off someone so I knew it worked good. I've ahd no problems with it and it sounds pretty good. The settings you can apply in iTunes are satisfactory and overall this is a good mp3 player as a seconday one that you just wanna throw random songs on and take it somewhere or conseal it. I'd say for a second mp3 player go with the shuffle.
