The good: Intuitive photo viewing; displays album art; adds color to your iPod experience; choice of 20GB or mammoth 60GB hard drive; lets you view photos and listen to music simultaneously; speedy performance; optional Camera Connector will allow direct digital-camera transfers of photos, which will be viewable on iPod; solid battery life.

The bad: Package doesn't include iPhoto 4, FireWire cable, A/V cable, or dock; slightly heavier and thicker than fourth-generation non-color iPod.

The bottom line: The iPod Photo is a beautiful and versatile device with a new, affordable price.

Description: The Apple iPod is a 20 GB, large capacity player. Compared to other large capacity MP3 players on the market, it is relatively inexpensive at around $140.

Pros: Comes with 20 GB storage, which is more spacious than some similarly priced MP3 players. In fact, the average cost of a product with this roomy a storage is $225.

Cons: Has a 5.9 oz weight, which is considerably heavier than some similarly priced MP3 players. For example, the Apple iPod Nano , an 8 GB MP3 player at around $150, has a 1.3 oz weight.

Suitability: A large capacity MP3 player, suited for bringing an entire music library with you. Comes with equalizer presets to easily tailor your listening experience. According to the manufacturer this player will last approximately 15 hour(s) between charges; your run-time will vary based on use and power management configuration. Comes with a 1 year warranty, which is standard in the industry.

Value: Overall, this MP3 player's features are in line with its price.

Suggestions: If you don't totally love the headphones that came with your MP3 player, you might find aftermarket headphones that better suit your preferences.
