Excellent
THE GOOD
Strong performance and battery life, particularly for the price; attractive, sturdily constructed case; beautiful display that's great for video without being too reflective.
THE BAD
Case finish easily picks up fingerprints and smudges; shallow key travel; lousy speakers.
THE BOTTOM LINE
A standout among budget midsize laptops, the 14.1-inch Gateway T-6836 marries strong performance and battery life with a compact, well-designed case.
