The novelty wore off rather quickly for me. Only get it if you are a die hard texter. Otherwise, just fire up a simple voice chat with your headset to reach your friends. -

My son LOVES this. Got it for him for Christmas, so he has been using it for 5 months now. He says it makes on-line texting and quick games invites VERY easy. -
