THE BOTTOM LINE
We have not reviewed the Pioneer PDP-4280HD, but we have reviewed the 50-inch version. We expect the two to deliver similar picture quality. Aside from screen size, the main difference between the two panels is that the 42-inch model does not have a detachable speaker; its speaker is fixed.

I own 2 sharp lcd tv and this is by far the best picture quality I have seen. I will pick this over the SONY XBR's anytime. -
