Mediocre
THE GOOD
Inexpensive for a 1080p TV with a 120Hz refresh rate and dejudder processing; accurate primary colors; picture controls include custom color temperature setting; decent styling with swivel stand.
THE BAD
Delivers a light level of black; incorrect gamma produces a dull picture; cannot turn off dejudder processing; color becomes blue in dark areas; poor off-angle performance; only one custom picture memory per input type; no backlight control; no dot-by-dot aspect ratio mode.
THE BOTTOM LINE
Despite a promising specification sheet and cheap price for a 120Hz HDTV, the Honeywell Altura MLX's picture quality falls short of even other budget models.
