    Bought the 500gb edmini for name, cost and storage capacity as a safe place for my 100gb mp3 library to be accessed from our Mac and XP's - served the purpose well. However, using it as a backup device it is unbelievable slow. it can be a challenge to set up, and I was never able to get it to work as a USB drive on either Mac or XP.
