THE GOOD
Easy to use; provides twice the storage space of Hotmail; blocks bugs and viruses; eliminates all but 5 percent of spam; offers its own keyboard shortcuts.

THE BAD
Charges you to retrieve mail with a desktop client such as Microsoft Outlook or Eudora; video messaging suffers from audio/video synchronization problems; no longer encrypts messages.

THE BOTTOM LINE
Even though it now charges for services that were once free, the redesigned Yahoo Mail is still the best free Web e-mailer around.
