I bought this last night after the salesman said, "Buy it over the Bose"; which was $50 more expensive. He didn't have a demo so he said, "Take it home and try it, or bring it back for a full refund." Wow! So much better than the Bose demo in the store! The bass is nearly twice as better. I wanted the JBL on stage II for portabilities sake, but they didnt have it. I didn't know it was gonna be as large as it was (nearly twice the length as the bose, but with nearly twice the sound, haha) Seems more sturdy too. I need something that I can take on the road with me, and this is a little too much for that. I would keep it, but I already have a 5.1 speaker system at home that plays my MP3s as good, so I will take it back and save $275. By the way, another comparison: That 5.1 system I have, it takes all of those speakers and watts to do what this thing can do alone. That says a lot.

Overall much better option for non ipod users than the BOSE sounddock which only works with ipods. Produces very good sound and it's a nice looking small unit and better priced than the BOSE.

I like the iGroove for it's great looking design, though I would have to disagree with other reviews that might say that the sound is better than that of Bose's SoundDock... The SoundDock hands down just sounds better and more realistic without the need of change the bass or treble. I do think that the iGroove is a good I-pod dock none the less, just not Incredible.

I am appaled at Klipsch's customer service. I used the iGroove HG with my iPod almost everyday up until it killed my iPod. It stopped playing, and I could immediately smell burnt electronics. When I picked the iPod out of the iGroove sparks shot out from the dock. After sending it in, Klipsh determined that it was their opinion that the iPod has caused the problem. Then sent me both the damaged iGroove and iPod back to me, even though I insisted that the iGroove was still under warranty and wanted it replaced. As far as quality: You can not turn the volume up very loud without hearing all sorts of distortion. The remote control rarely ever works either. I was expecting the sound to be much better for the $200 I spent on this.

I bought my iGroove HG off my brother-in-law last Christmas. He had both an iDock and the iGroove side by each in the den. Tried both...iDock was good; iGroove made me play SRVs 'Lenny' a dozen times over at all volume levels. I use it all over the house. Kids hook up their mp3 players for backyard tunes; my old shuffle, my wife's Nano, the TV, the satellite box at cottage for music; I move the Groove from office to den to bedroom (Barry White baby! way...down...loooooow...). Jack it into the laptop when playing racing games or watching DVDs at cottage...the Groove moves! Even whn it sits on the bookshelf, it just plain looks classy. The one downer - shows fingerprints for all he use it gets.

    Wicked good!

This is a great overall unit. Price verses sound. I had the MM50's This sounds 10 times better. Good bass and very clean vocals at any volume. People complain about it not being battery powered. Here is my opinion, Speakers need a lot of power to sound good. Batteries wouldn't give this unit near the punch it has and if they did they wouldn't last long enough to be worth it. I don't look at this as a portable speaker system. I wouldn't travel with it. That is why I carry headphones. I haven't found a portable speaker system yet that I thought sounded great. Or worth lugging around. As a stand alone unit it will fill most average size rooms with great sound. It has plenty of bass and the clarity is wonderful. I love it.

Wonderful sounding speaker for the price. Better bass than Bose, more natural mids (in my opinion). Best for small spaces (like my office -- perfect). Controls on remote are rather limited, but not a big problem.

    Highly recommended.

Great sound I have my Zune hooked up to this speaker. Will not charge a non apple product while docked and remote will not work. Why not make speaker for the Microsoft Zune?
