Outstanding
THE GOOD
Combination of fast drive mode and high resolution; large buffer; highly customizable; saves custom camera setups to media, supports cards greater than 2GB.
THE BAD
Noise in underexposed image areas; imperfections appear when paired with lower-quality lenses.
THE BOTTOM LINE
In a league by itself, the Mark II offers professional photographers extensive customization, excellent photo quality, and market-leading speed.

I can't believe it got a 9/10 because of cheap lenses and improper technique. Those are problems with the user, not the camera. -

I have 2 of these camera which I use for weddings and portraits. I also have 4 L series lenses. I never have to perform post image production on these image except to possibly brighten them a little and batch file convert for the online service. ... read more » -

I bought this for sports shoots but have ended up using it for just about all of my photo work including commercial work. The 20D I moved up from is a great body but this 1D has even better AF, meetering, menu structure and the fire rate is insane!... read more »
