The image quality in this camera is excellent, it is not washed as some reviewers would have you think. I'm using a MacBook with Photoshop and need to do little color correction.

The biggest gripes I have are the lens (though it actually functions perfectly) feels cheap, the hot shoe is non-standard and the camera body is a tad on the large side, otherwise the controls are logically where you want them and the menu is relatively intuitive.

I have to say I tote my camera basically "unprotected" in my Booq backpack with my MacBook and this thing can take pounding!! I've had it out in minus 20F weather shooting snowboarding and on the beach in 90F weather shooting some kayaking, no problem!
