4.5/5
I have always been a fan of Olympus optics. I am a surgical pathologist and have used Olympus microcopes and medical cameras for years. I have also owned Olympus consumer cameras. The consumer cameras for years gave good quality, but were never leaders. This is on a par with the offerings from Cannon and Nikon and it is much cheaper. The photos I took in Hawaii were to die for. Some of the shots in Waimea canyon were I was almost sure not usable and to my surprise when I got home they were much better than my flawed human eye could appreciate. Talk about a great surprise! If you afford it and you still want a bargain digital SLR than this is definately for you. Of course with a full line of digital lens, you could easily spend $8000 for a single lens, but the package with included lens will more suffice for most users.
