FlipVideo gives better sound and video than my $800 Sony Camcoreder, and it is very easy to use!

My problem is with the FlipVideo software, latest update, on my new laptop running VISTA Home. It won't allow the "safely remove" function to work after the software is closed. The second time I tried the "Safely Remove" function on VISTA I got a BSOD!!! I have to shut the computer off in order to be able to safely remove the device from the USB port.

All is not lost, however. I can access movies on my FlipVideo device by plugging it into my laptop running PCLinuxOS 2008 MiniMe, and using software that comes with it. "Safely Remove" works well on my Linux laptop.

There is virtually no set up (if you connect to mac, idk about pc) just plug in and upload... then you're done, no software installation needed. Built in "Flip" put USB is a HUGE plus! I actually like the built in battery... I hate buying batteries all the time and i find they do not last as ling as a built in rechargeable battery. Its small and very easy to use...All in all I love this cam!!
