This is good for the GBA gamer on the go, with little or no competition. It's small, bright, and super-duper portable. It has a good battery, provided that you keep it charged and on the lowest brightness setting (which is still pretty bright). The smallness of the screen actually adds to the details of the graphics.
The issues that more hardcore GBA gamers will have is the ability to connect to peripherals, etc. Gotta buy new cords for multi-player. No e-reader. No old-school gameboy games. No ba-donka-donk GBA cartridges (that i'm aware of). I think they tried to reach the iPod generation with this one, which they could've done sucessfully had they not messed with the gaming community by making us buy all-new crap and keeping us from playing the oldies.
Big ol' seven. Buy an SP if you want better features and a DS if you want a gorram Gameboy in the first place.

I love this tiny little portable gaming device. I own a Gameboy Advance SP and compare to that, Micro has a much brighter screen and more vivid colour... and much lighter and smaller.

The screen is noticably smaller than Gameboy Advance SP but it pretty much does exactly the same thing except the new standard audio-out plug rather than SP's propriety plug. The sound is great and the screen brightness is adjustable.

The face plate does attract finger prints but it is very easy to clean with just regular cotton cloths. So far, after owning the Micro for over a month, I haven't notice any scratches on the face plate nor the back. And I like the idea of a face plate with screen protector. If if ever scratches, I'll just change a new face plate and problem solves.

It plays all the Gameboy Advance games but not the older or the newer DS games, which is fine with me since older games is equally fun to play, just maybe poorer graphics. I have seen comments saying that the screen may be too small for some people. I mainly play RPG and Adventure games and the texts is clearly visible though smaller than from SP's, probably due to brighter screen and better resolution.

Since it is wider than SP, it put less strain on the wrist and fingers if playing for long hours.

I love this little thing and ditching my SP.

Look at the Micro from this point of view.

It's a new, small product from Nintendo, which has the Game Boy Advance gaming technologies. It has a very good screen for it's size. Being so small, the GBM can be taken with you anywhere, and added to the 'Always-Take-With-Me' list, together with you car keys and cell phone. So Nintendo is making this really small MP3/Movie/Portable Gaming Console that will practically always be with you. Now that's excellent!!

This is great for in the office. I use this at work more than my handcuffs. The screen is small, but it's supposed to be. It plays only Gameboy Advance games, cause it's supposed to. If you want one of those GBA clamshell things just take the one you gave your kids. I can't leave home without this.

This is an incredible gaming system. It is very tiny, and well worth the cash. I just picked mine up at Walmart for about $30 bucks. It plays all gameboy advance games, but doesn't play older gameboy games like the SP. It is totally worth the money if you can fine it for $30 like I did. The screen is bright, and the games actually look better on a smaller screen.

The gameboy micro is the best GB i've ever seen! The screen may be small but you can still read words if not better. The backlight is so bright that the screen is still very visible in full sunlight and the colours are very vivid. The horizontal design of the micro makes it very easy on your hands even after many hours. The battery life is really amazing. I've gotten it to last about 12 hours! The only downsize is the speaker. In a moderatly loud room, you can barely hear it even on full volume. Another bad thing about it is that in Canada and the US, you have to buy the accessories (because you can't use the GBA accessories)from the nintendo store website. Overall, this is a great device for the price, considering it costs about $70 CAN. So, if you want a great device with a low price, this is for you.

I think the Gameboy Micro is great for someone who just wants to play games, now have a portable Multimedia System. Like the SP and GBA, It only plays GBA and GBC games. People shouldn't compare it to the PSP or Gizmondo, because it's not meant to be like them. The Micro is a great system!

I just got my GB Micro and I love it! It's one of Nintendo's best Gameboys yet! By the way, the first three reviews are all the same, I made a mistake!

The Gameboy Micro is just a compact gameboy. There are no new features and it has a way smaller screen. Micro is the new N-Gage.
