THE GOOD
Accurately scans and converts almost any document or PDF file into an editable text file; preserves most original formatting and layouts.
THE BAD
Makes some poor typeface and letter-spacing choices; in scanned files saved as PDFs, the program, by default, displays hard-to-recognize characters as graphics.
THE BOTTOM LINE
FineReader 6.0 Professional works leaps and bounds better than prior versions. Business users will get their money's worth from this reasonably priced OCR powerhouse.
