THE GOOD
Best Netbook keyboard we've seen; thinner and lighter than HP's previous Netbook; ditches slow Via processor for faster Intel Atom.
THE BAD
Limited expansion options; overly glossy screen; needless proprietary external drive connection.
THE BOTTOM LINE
HP may have arrived late to the consumer Netbook game, but by lifting the generous keyboard from last year's business-oriented model, the Mini 1000 easily joins the category's top tier.

After looking at about ten of these netbooks all in a line in an electrical store the one that stood out from the rest was the Mini 1000. Its small, stylish and so useable.

Almost perfect. Expand the screen so it fits with an even narrower bezel and you could maybe fit an 11" display in here. Then bump the screen resolution back up to 1024x768. Get rid of the proprietary connectors and such. Move to the mini displa... read more » -

Despite minor issues, the HP Mini-note 1000 is my favorite netbook, with its massive keyboard with non-tapered keys (a pet peeve of mine) and atom CPU.
